Couldn't recommend more for a day tour
Exceptional staff, exceptional hospitality, including Dani and Hannah who were incredibly friendly and helpful during our stay, made our time enjoyable, while the pub's central location provided easy access to explore the area.
Nothing that I didn't like.

the stay was decent at castlegate arms. the beds were clean, which was a plus. it's also really close to a lively nightclub, making it fun if you're into that scene. the staff was helpful when we needed access to our room, which stood out during our visit.

the staff, especially dani and hannah were super friendly and helpful, couldnt have asked for better service. the location is perfect, right in the middle of town with a cool bar vibe. rooms were clean and comfy, with a cute layout. even tho there was music till midnight, it was fine and quiet after that. had a lovely stay overall with really nice locals around.
the shower took a while to get to the right temp, and there wasn't much parking space available.

The staff were friendly, especially these girls called Dani and Hannah. The pub was packed with locals who were actually fun to talk to, not just drunk idiots.

A Cozy Stay with Quirks Worth Noting
Enjoyed a night in a comfy twin room. The lively atmosphere adds charm, but be ready for some noise. The nearby restaurant served delightful dishes, making dinner easy and enjoyable. For parking, plan ahead and consider the pay-and-reimburse option, especially on busy days.

Banging music and loud shouting made it near impossible to sleep until closing time, which can feel more like a nightclub than a hotel. There’s no breakfast included, which diminishes the overall value, especially when the shower lacked a mixer and swung between scalding hot and freezing cold. the decor in common areas seemed tired, and there's an absence of cask beer in the bar despite it being advertised, leading to some disappointment for those who care about their brews.
